Meanders down the quilting path

Starting a New Blog

Wow! I didn't know how hard it would be to start a blog! So it might be that I just don't really know what I am doing. (lol).

I purchased a package of tutorials on successful blogging from Ruth Soukup Omnimedia's  Elite Blog Academy

One tutorial led to the next, until I no longer knew whose advice I was following. But after working on it for most of three days, I think I am getting close to a result I like.

Enough about that. Let's talk about quilting.

Petal+Stem Block Swap

I joined my first block swap a couple of weeks ago.  It is by Amy Friend of During Quiet Time.  The swap will be with a group of 3 other swappers assigned by her.  They could be international.

All the blocks come from her newest book, Petals +Stems.  We are to make a blossom block and a stem block for each of the group members and ship to them by 3/15/21.  As you can see, I am nearly done making them all.

Here is Juliet, one of her quilts.  Don't you love the bright pink blossoms against the deep blue background?

Petal + Stem During Quiet Time

Amy's newest book, Petal+Stem.  Full of modern, foundation paper pieced blossom, leaf, and stem blocks; as well as a variety of quilt designs to use them in.

Alright, so can you tell I am in love with Amy's designs?  Let me know what you think.
